Low end-user demand continues to weigh on Turkey’s cold rolled coil (CRC) suppliers and has forced them to cut their prices further.

Domestic CRC offers in Turkey have been mainly set at $500-520/mt ex-works this week while earlier most re-rollers’ prices were standing at $530/mt ex-works. Moreover, currently some producers, who have lost large orders from the end-user side or have had them postponed, are even more aggressive, with their offers reported down to $490/mt ex-works. Locally, CRC is available for April deliveries still, SteelOrbis has learned.

In the import segment, the number of offers has been scarce as business activity has been close to nil. Ex-Russia levels are still ranging within $450-460/mt CFR, while offers from South Korea have been heard at $475-485/mt CFR depending on the tonnage and the buyer, down by $5-15/mt over the past week, SteelOrbis understands.
