CRC import price offers maintain stability in Brazil

CRC imports in Brazil are negotiated in average at $685/mt, CFR conditions, the same as four weeks ago, according to sources.

In the Brazilian domestic market, CRC of the basic commercial grades is offered in medium to large volumes by the producers at BRL 6,350/mt ($1,122/mt), also stable in BRL from four weeks ago, ex-works, full taxes except IPI.

According to the foreign trade authority, SECEX, in April, Brazil exported 10,674 mt and imported 29,927 mt of CRC, against respectively 2,700 mt and 34,100 mt in March, both FOB conditions.

The exports of April were destined to the US (7,796 mt at $664/mt), South America (2,848 mt at $1,081/mt), and China (30 mt at $620/mt), all FOB conditions.

The imports were from China (21,199 mt at $524/mt), South Korea (5,641/mt at $553/mt), Europe (64 mt at $867/mt), and the United Arab Emirates (23 mt at $867/mt).
