On March 22, Pakistani producers of cold rolled (CR) and hot dip galvanized (HDG) coils have again revised their prices upwards, aiming to offset higher input costs. The most recent import HRC offers have been voiced to Pakistani customers at $840/mt CFR Karachi at the lowest, while a few suppliers have been testing the market with offers at $850/mt CFR Karachi, as SteelOrbis reported earlier.
Accordingly, local prices of CR and HDG coils have largely increased by $32/mt (PKR 5,000/mt) compared to the previous offers voiced on March 10. Offers of HDG of 0.25-0.35 mm thickness have soared by about $45/mt (PKR 7,000/mt).
