As of March 15, average Chinese flat steel product export offers have indicated diverse week-on-week changes depending on the product. At present, export offers for boron-added 5.75 mm hot rolled coil (HRC) given by Chinese suppliers are at $605-615/mt FOB, while export offers for 1.0 mm cold rolled coil (CRC) given by Chinese suppliers are in the range of $630-640/mt FOB.
Flat steel product export prices from China indicated significant decreases in the first part of the past week, but have moved upwards in the past two days, similar to the trend in the local steel market, though the movement of export prices was more limited due to support from the cost side and positive expectations for the future export price trend. It is thought that Chinese flat steel product export prices will move sideways in the coming week.
