During the week ending August 8, average cold rolled coil (CRC) prices in the Chinese domestic market have continued to move up, while transaction activity in the overall market has been at low-to-medium levels. Average cold rolled product prices in the local Chinese market are presented in the following table.
During the given week, ferrous metal futures prices have moved up, exerting a positive impact on CRC market. Traders in CRC market have been willing to increase their offer prices for CRC. Currently, the inventory level of CRC on traders’ side has been at comparatively low level, which also bolstered CRC prices. It is expected that CRC prices in the Chinese domestic market will move sideways in the coming week.
