During the week ending April 10, average cold rolled coil (CRC) prices in the Chinese domestic market have moved up, while transaction activity in the overall market has been at medium levels. Average cold rolled product prices in the local Chinese market are presented in the following table.
During the given week, ferrous metal futures prices in China have risen significantly, providing solid support for domestic CRC prices. However, following the rapid rises in CRC prices, market players have been more cautious and have not been eager to conclude purchases at the higher price levels. It is thought that CRC prices will likely fluctuate within a limited range around the current high levels in the coming week.
