China’s Hesteel raises local HRC prices by $76.5/mt for January

On December 15, major Chinese steelmaker Hebei Iron and Steel Group issued its prices for carbon steel flat products for delivery in January.

The producer has decided to raise its local base prices for hot rolled coil (HRC) by RMB 500/mt ($76.5/mt), while increasing its local base prices for steel plate, pickled products, SPCC, hot dip galvanized (HDG), cold base galvanized, cold rolled coil (CRC) and pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) by RMB 200/mt ($30.6/mt), RMB 300/mt ($46/mt), RMB 600/mt ($92/mt), RMB 500/mt ($76.5/mt), RMB 400/mt ($61.2/mt), RMB 600/mt ($92/mt) and RMB 500/mt ($76.5/mt), respectively, all for January delivery, SteelOrbis has learned.

Previously on December 9, Chinese steelmaker Baosteel decided to raise its local base prices for hot rolled coil (HRC) by RMB 400/mt ($61/mt) for January.
