Brazil exported 180,200 mt of HRC in September, 17 percent more than in August, at an average FOB price increased by 1.3 percent to $481/mt, for price deals probably closed in July.
ArcelorMittal Tubarao exported 127,000 mt at $455/mt, CSN exported 41,400 mt at $557/mt, Gerdau Acominas exported 7,400 mt at $337/mt and Usiminas exported 4,000 mt at $758/mt, all FOB conditions.
The main destinations were Asia (67,600 mt at $425/mt), Latin America (43,400 mt at $515/mt), the EU (42,200 mt at $554/mt) and Turkey (26,800 mt at $453/mt).
According to a local exporter, the Brazilian producers are currently negotiating HRC for export in a range of $580/mt to $600/mt, FOB conditions for the basic commercial grades.
