Brazilian producers are negotiating HRC of the basic commercial grades for export to countries in the south of Europe in a range of $580/mt to $590/mt, CFR conditions, the same range over last week, a local market source told SteelOrbis.
The source said he has not negotiated recently with clients in the US, adding that, under the same conditions, he believes that deals for sales to the US are being closed in a range $10/mt higher on average.
In September, ArcelorMittal exported from Brazil 80,600 mt of HRC to Vietnam at $454/mt, 24,800 mt at $471/mt to Turkey, 22,000 mt at $497/mt to Ecuador, 13,900 mt at $482/mt to Colombia, 13,000 mt at $474/mt to Peru and 10,600 mt at $477/mt to Chile, all FOB conditions, with different quality grades and price deals probably closed in July.
