The Brazilian producers are negotiating HRC exports with their South American clients in a reference price of $750/mt, stable from two weeks ago, FOB conditions for the basic commercial grades.
In the Brazilian domestic market, HRC of the basic commercial grades is sold by producers, in medium to large volumes, at BRL 4,500/mt ($827/mt), against BRL 4,600/mt two weeks ago, ex-works, full taxes except IPI.
In August, Brazil exported 12,500 mt and imported 75,000 mt of HRC against respectively 11,200 mt and 68,600 mt in July.
The exports of August were destined to South American countries (9,700 mt at $577/mt) and to the US (2,900 mt at $511/mt), shipped by ArcelorMittal (9,600 mt at $497/mt), Usiminas (2,300 mt at $821/mt), and Gerdau (500 mt at $574/mt), FOB conditions.
The imports were from South Korea (51,400 mt at $533/mt), China (11,200 mt at $536/mt), Russia (11,000 mt at $536/mt), and Egypt (1,400 mt at $620/mt).
