Baosteel raises local HRC and CRC prices by $40/mt for July

On June 9, major Chinese steelmaker Baosteel issued its prices for carbon steel flat products for delivery in July.

The producer has decided to raise its local base prices for hot rolled coil (HRC) and cold rolled coil (CRC) by RMB 280/mt ($40/mt), while increasing its hot rolled pickled product prices by RMB 300/mt ($42.4/mt) and its hot dip galvanized (HDG) prices by RMB 260/mt ($36.8/mt).

The producer’s local prices for electro-galvanized products, non-grain-oriented electrical steel, grain-oriented electrical steel, galvalume and pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) have been increased by RMB 200/mt ($28.3/mt), RMB 300/mt ($42.4/mt), RMB 300/mt ($42.4/mt), RMB 200/mt ($28.3/mt) and RMB 100/mt ($14/mt), respectively.

Baosteel has raised its steel plate prices for July by RMB 150/mt ($21/mt) and its steel section prices for the same month by RMB 200/mt ($28.3/mt), SteelOrbis has learned.
