ArcelorMittal USA, Nucor and CSI increase flats prices $60/nt

On Wednesday, ArcelorMittal sent a letter to customers indicating that effective immediately, transaction prices will be increased by $3.00 cwt. ($66/mt or $60/nt) on all new orders accepted on hot rolled, cold rolled and coated products.

California Steel Industries (CSI) also raised flat-rolled prices $3.00 cwt. Wednesday effective with all new orders received on or after Monday, August 15th "due to changes in market conditions."

Additionally, Nucor Corporation issued a letter to customers late Thursday increasing base prices for all new flat-rolled orders $3.00 cwt. due to the continued high cost of raw materials and consistent end user demand.

US Steel and AK Steel made similar announcements Wednesday, as well.
