Zlatoust Metallurgical Works to launch new production line for round billets in Q3

In the third quarter of the current year, Russian steelmaker Zlatoust Metallurgical Works (ZMZ) plans to launch a new line for the production of round billets.

The new production line will have a capacity of about 7,000 mt per month of round billets of 30-80 mm and 20-50 mm sizes. The new line will produce carbon and alloy steel products.

In Q1 of this year, Zlatoust Metallurgical Works' commercial grade rolled steel product output increased by 65.5 percent compared to the same period of 2010, rising to 127,600 mt.
