Russia’s ChelPipe to increase round billet output

Russia-based steel pipe producer ChelPipe Group (ChTPZ) has announced that it is planning to increase its round bilet production to 1.35 million mt per year. Within the scope of its upgrade project with investments of about RUB 500 million, the company is expected to modernise its Ozone 32 steel melting complex in order to increase its production results and to improve social and living conditions of employees.

The current capacity of ChelPipe's Ozone 32 unit is 950,000 mt of round billet, SteelOrbis has learned.
