On July 29, Chen Changyu, president and CEO of Guangdong Province-based Chinese steel pipe manufacturing company Zhujiang Steel Pipe Co., announced that the company will officially launch two longitudinal submerged arc welded pipe production lines in the fourth quarter of 2011 and in 2012, with the lines respectively located in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province and Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province.
The new production lines are each expected to have an annual production capacity of 300,000 mt.
In addition, Zhujiang Steel Pipe has also invested $106 million to build two longitudinal submerged arc welded pipe lines in Saudi Arabia, with designed annual production capacities of 300,000 mt and 200,000 mt.
