Zaporizhstal to invest UAH 12 million in 2014

Ukrainian steelmaker Zaporizhstal has announced its plans to invest UAH 12 million ($1.03 million) in 2014 in the improvement of safety at working places and for the provision of workers with improved personal protection equipment.

The planned investments will be aimed at the reduction of the influence of harmful factors at working places: UAH 3.6 million ($0.3 million) will be used for the creation of optimal temperature conditions (the purchase of industrial and residential air conditioners, air conditioning supply and the exhaust ventilation systems); UAH 2.9 million ($0.25 million) for the improvement of air monitoring and provision of gas safety; and UAH 5.5 million ($0.47 million) is planned to be invested in the provision of fire safety.
