Iranian private sector steelmaker Yazd Steel Group has clarified the commissioning date of its new rolling mill as May 2010.
As SteelOrbis previously reported, on March the company had announced that it would commission the new mill, which has a designed annual rolling capacity of 500,000 mt of I-beams and U-beams in the second quarter of 2010, stating that the construction of the new mill was in the final phases of equipment installation.
Yazd Steel Group, based in the central Iranian city of Yazd, already operates a bar mill with an annual capacity of 300,000 mt and a wire rod rolling mill with a capacity of 400,000 mt per year.
