Xinyu Steel slashes ex-factory medium plate prices

On October 8, Jiangxi Province-based Xinyu Steel announced strong cuts to its ex-factory prices for medium plate. With this adjustment, the prices of common carbon plate and low alloy plate have decreased by RMB 800/mt ($117/mt). As a result, the price of Q235 14-20 mm in Nanchang now stands at RMB 5,060/mt ($741/mt).

The above prices include taxes (17 percent VAT) and are effective as of October 6.
