Xiangtan Steel hikes ex-factory price for medium plate

On September 16, Hunan Province-based Xiangtan Steel upped its ex-factory prices for medium plate by RMB 200/mt ($27/mt).

After the adjustment, the mill's price of 14-50 mm Q235 common carbon medium plate has increased to RMB 5,200/mt ($637/mt), while its price of 14-50 mm Q345 has risen to RMB 5,300/mt ($650/mt).

The above prices include 17 percent VAT and are effective as of September 16, 2007.
