World steel summit will take place under the coordination of Erdemir in Turkey
The thirty-eighth Annual Meeting and
Conferences of the International Iron and Steel Institute (IISI) will take place on October 3-6, 2004 in Istanbul,
Turkey under the coordination of
Erdemir.
The conference, which is regarded as the world steel summit will bring together the top executives of the world's leading steel leading companies. It is global forum where the key issues and common problems facing the industry are discussed and strategic decisions are taken.
It is great prestige for the members to host these
conferences, held in autumn every year. This year the pride of hosting IISI-38 belongs to the Turkish Steel Industry and
Erdemir, a member of IISI since 1979. Between 1979-2000, Turkish iron and steel industry was represented by
Erdemir in IISI because of the absence of an organization which brought together all the steel companies in the country.
Erdemir, the most important steel producer of
Turkey, will take pride to show its advanced technologies to participants in this conference.
