WISCO’s 2nd silicon steel sheet mill reaches designed capacity

Hubei Province-based Wuhan Iron and Steel (Group) Corporation has achieved designed capacity at its second silicon steel sheet mill a full three months in advance.

The project for the mill in question was launched in 2003 with production operations commencing on September 22, 2006. WISCO's production capacity of cold rolled silicon steel has now climbed from 400,000 mt to 1.42 million mt, with its product range increasing from the initial eight varieties in 32 sizes to 36 varieties in 150 sizes.
