WISCO to continue to strengthen international business

On February 21, Hebei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Wuhan Iron and Steel Company (WISCO) held a meeting to review its overseas activities, at which it stressed that it would continue to strengthen its international business.

In 2009, Wuhan Iron and Steel achieved exports of 514,000 mt of steel products, earning revenues of $324 million. At the meeting, the situation of WISCO's eight overseas subsidiaries was reported to be positive, all being risk-free in terms of contracts and funding.
