WISCO commissions silicon steel processing/distribution center in east China

Major Chinese steel producer Wuhan Iron and Steel Corporation (WISCO) has announced that on April 18 it commissioned its first silicon steel processing and distribution center in eastern China.

The center in question, which includes a 1,300 mm cold rolled silicon steel slitting line, belongs to WISCO (Shanghai) Steel Processing Co., a joint venture between WISCO and Shanghai Pudong Changsheng Materi Co.

It is expected that the annual capacity of the center will reach 300,000 mt by 2015.
