In June, Vietnam’s steel imports amounted to 957,761 mt, up 14.3 percent compared to May, while its scrap imports declined by 31.3 percent month on month to 207,400 mt, according to the data published by Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
In the first six months of the year, Vietnam’s steel imports decreased by 14.4 percent year on year to 5.56 million mt, while its scrap import shipments amounted to 2.34 million mt in the given period, decreasing by 7.5 percent year on year.
