Vale’s credit risk rating improves

Brazil-based global mining giant Vale has announced that the global credit rating agency Standard & Poor´s (S&P) has upgraded Vale's credit rating from BBB to A- on the back of its solid performance. According to the S&P credit risk rating scale, an A rating indicates strong capacity to meet financial commitments. Vale's national scale corporate credit rating has been confirmed as brAAA, with the outlook remaining stable.
