Vale to sell coking coal to Indian steelmakers

Brazil-based mining company Vale announced Wednesday that it is currently in talks with leading Indian steel mills to sell hard coking coal from its Moatize mine in Mozambique.

The managing director of Vale India has said that the company plans to start exporting the coal by next August, and there is currently strong interest from Indian buyers.

The company's expected use the coal are Steel Authority of India Ltd., JSW Steel and Jindal Steel and Power.
