U.S. Steel raises tin prices

US Steel, the largest tin mill producer in North America, has announced plans to increase transaction prices of its tin mill products by 6 percent in January. Other key tin producers, Mittal Steel and Dofasco, have not yet made pricing announcements for 2006. Pittsburgh-based U.S. Steel made the announcement to customers Friday, but have yet to issue a press release.
