US issues preliminary results of AD review on certain circular pipe from S. Korea

The US Department of Commerce (DOC) has announced the preliminary results of the antidumping duty (AD) administrative review of circular welded non-alloy steel pipe (CWP) from South Korea for the period of review (POR) between November 1, 2023 and October 31, 2024.

The DOC has preliminarily determined that Hyundai Steel Company and its successor-in-interest, Hyundai Steel Pipe Co., Ltd., sold subject merchandise at less than normal value during the POR, while Husteel Co., Ltd. did not.

The DOC has assigned a preliminary weighted-average dumping margin of 4.19 percent to Hyundai Steel Company and Hyundai Steel Pipe Co., Ltd. Husteel Co., Ltd. has been assigned a preliminary margin of 0.00 percent.

The six non-selected companies, Aju Besteel, Kumkang Kind Co., Ltd., Miju Steel Manufacturing, NEXTEEL Co., Ltd., SeAH FS, and SeAH Steel Corporation, have been assigned a rate of 4.19 percent based on the rate calculated for Hyundai Steel Pipe Co., Ltd., as the rate for Husteel was zero.

In addition, the DOC has rescinded this review with respect to 14 companies that had no reviewable suspended entries of subject merchandise during the POR.
