US issues final AD duty on HRC from Japan

The US Department of Commerce (DOC) has announced the final results of its administrative review of the antidumping (AD) duty order on hot rolled steel flat products from Japan for the period between October 1, 2020 and September 30, 2021.

Accordingly, the US DOC has determined that Japanese companies’ sales of the subject goods were made below normal value during the period of review.

The DOC has determined a weighted-average dumping margin at 7.72 percent for the country.

The final antidumping duties for the country are applicable from May 4.

According to the preliminary results, the weighted-average dumping margin was at 7.81 percent for Japan.
