According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of hot dipped galvanized sheet and strip (HDG) totaled 106,407 mt in November this year down 13.9 percent month on month and down 7.3 percent year on year. By value, HDG exports totaled $153 million in November this year, compared to $169.9 million in the previous month and $153.5 million the same month last year.
The US shipped the most HDG to Mexico in November with 62,012 mt, compared to 73,172 mt in October and 55,507 mt in November last year. Mexico is followed by Canada with 43,500 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US HDG exports in November.
