US DOC issues preliminary AD review results for stainless steel bar from Brazil

On March 16, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced in the Federal Register the preliminary results of its antidumping duty (AD) administrative review for stainless steel bar from Brazil.

As a result of its administrative review covering February 1, 2008, through January 31, 2009, the US DOC has determined a dumping margin of zero percent for Villares Metals S.A.

The petitioners in the investigation are Carpenter Technology Corporation, Valbruna Slater, Inc., Electralloy Corporation, a Division of G.O. Carlson, Inc. and Universal Stainless.

Imports of steel plate are currently classified in the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS) under subheadings, 7222.10.0005, 7222.10.0050, 7222.20.0005, 7222.20.0045, 7222.20.0075 and 7222.30.0000.

Final results of the review are to be issued no later than 120 days from the publication date of the preliminary results.
