On August 5, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced the final results of the expedited sunset review of the suspended antidumping (AD) duty investigation of certain hot rolled flat-rolled carbon-quality steel products from the Russian Federation.
As a result of this sunset review, the DOC determined that the termination of the suspended AD investigation would likely lead to continuation or recurrence of dumping.
Accordingly, the DOC determined that the AD duty should continue at the level of 73.59 percent for JSC Severstal and 184.56 percent for other Russia exporters.
Domestic interested parties in the case were Nucor Corporation, US Steel Corporation, Gallatin Steel and SSAB North America Division.
