On Tuesday, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced the final results of its administrative review of stainless steel bar from India

The review covered two Indian producers/exporter--(1) Mukand, Ltd.; and (2) Chandan Steel Limited--during the period from February 1, 2010 through January 31, 2011. The DOC calculated the following final weighted-average dumping margins: (a) Mukand--30.92 percent; and (b) Chandan--30.92 percent.

These final margins compare with the previous dumping duty deposit rate for both companies, which was 21.02 percent. Accordingly, effective today, July 3, 2012, the dumping duty deposit rate became 30.92 percent for both Mukand and Chandan.
