Early on Friday, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced the preliminary results of its administrative review of the antidumping (AD) order on cut-to-length carbon-quality steel plate from Korea

The review covers one Korean producer/exporter -- Dongkuk Steel Mill Co., Ltd. -- during the period from February 1, 2010 through January 31, 2011.

The DOC has calculated a preliminary dumping margin of 1.64 percent for Dongkuk.  The current dumping duty deposit rate for Dongkuk is 5.59 percent.

The DOC plans to complete this review by May 2012, and the current dumping duty deposit rate will remain in effect until the DOC's final results are published in the Federal Register.

There is also a countervailing duty order against cut-to-length carbon-quality steel plate from Korea, and countervailing duty deposit rate for Dongkuk is 0.00 percent.
