US DOC announces preliminary result of administrative review of AD order against stainless pipe from Korea

On Thursday, January 07, 2010, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced the preliminary result of its administrative review of the antidumping (AD) order against ASTM A-312 welded stainless steel pipe from Korea. The review covers one Korean producer/exporter - SeAH Steel Corproration - during the period from December 1, 2007 through November 30, 2008.

The DOC has calculated a preliminary weighted-average dumping margin of 5.15 perecnt for SeAH. This margin compares with SeAH's current dumping duty deposit rate of 9.05 percent.

The DOC plans to complete this review by May 2010, and the current dumping duty deposit rate will remain in effect until the DOC's final result is published in the Federal Register.
