US cut-length plate exports down 10.7 percent in November

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of cut-length plate totaled 92,103 mt in November, down 10.7 percent from October but up 13.1 percent from November 2016 levels. By value, cut-length plate exports totaled $86.1 million in November, compared to $96.4 million in the previous month and $68.6 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most cut-length plate to Canada in November with 51,708 mt, compared to 50,982 mt in October and 43,040 mt in November 2016. Other top destinations included Mexico, with 31,888 mt; Sweden, with 2,522 mt; Colombia, with 1,587 mt; UAE, with 1,085 mt; and Dominican Republic, at 1,036 mt.
