According to preliminary census data from the US Department of Commerce, US imports of cold rolled coil totaled 72,843 mt in February this year, up 7.8 percent month on month and down 28.6 percent year on year. By value, CRC imports totaled $69.34 million in February this year, compared to $59.27 million in January and $106.32 million in February 2025.
The US imported the most CRC from Canada in February with 14,707 mt, compared to 16,413 mt in January and 39,027 mt in February 2025. Other top sources of imported CRC in February include Vietnam with 11,264 mt, Australia with 9,398 mt, the Netherlands with 9,034 mt, and Turkey with 8,857 mt.
