US beam exports down 13.1 percent in June 2026 from May

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of heavy structural shapes (including U, I, H, L, and T section beams) totaled 18,847 mt in June this year, down 13.1 percent from May and up 16.7 percent from June 2025. By value, beam exports totaled $30.7 million in June, compared to $35.8 million in the previous month and $20.9 million in the same month of 2025.

The US shipped the most beams to Canada in June with 12,857 mt, compared to 12,435 mt in May and 10,245 mt in June 2025. The other top destination was Mexico with 4,849 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US beam exports in June.
