US-based CC Metals & Alloys acquired by Optima Group

Optima Group LLC has acquired 100 percent of the membership interest of the New York-headquartered ferroalloys producer CC Metals & Alloys, LLC which has a production facility located in Calvert City, Kentucky, providing high-grade ferrosilicon to customers in the steel, foundry and welding rod industries.
 
CC Metals & Alloys ships over 100,000 metric tons of finished products per year from its ISO 9001-certified facility. The product line features 40 different products, including 18 ferrosilicon products and 20 magnesium silicon products, as well as silica fume, inoculants, welding products, and powdered alloys.
 
Accordingly, certain of the owners of Optima Group are partial owners other metal-based companies, as well as of Felman Trading, Inc., a ferroalloys trading company that will be the primary distributor of ferrosilicon produced by CC Metals & Alloys. Felman Trading has been representing some of the world's largest, long-standing alloy producers from Ukraine, Georgia, Romania and the United States. Felman Trading has been providing ferroalloy supplies to steelmakers and foundries in North, Central and South Americas. 
 
"This acquisition adds to Felman Trading's existing volume of ferrosilicon and expands its variety to meet the growing market demands," Felman Trading's general manager Vlad Mikhyeyev said.
