The US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced the preliminary results of its administrative review of the antidumping order against circular welded carbon steel pipe and tube (standard pipe) from Taiwan on Wednesday. The review covers one producer/exports -Yieh Phui Enterprise Co. Ltd.-during the period from May 1, 2009 through April 30, 2010.

The DOC had preliminarily calculated a weighted-average dumping margin of 11.47 percent for Yieh Phui. This compares with Yieh Phui's current dumping duty deposit rate of 5.04 percent.

The DOC plans to complete this administrative review by October 2011.  Until that time, the current dumping duty deposit rate will remain in effect.  Any change in the deposit rate as a result of this review will become effective only when the DOC's final results are published in the Federal Register.
