According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), the unemployment rate in Turkey increased by 1.2 percentage points year on year to 11.3 percent in August this year, also rising by 0.6 percentage points from the 10.7 percent recorded in July.
Meanwhile, in August the employment rate in Turkey recorded at 46.7 percent, decreasing by 0.1 percentage point compared to the same month of the previous year.
