Unemployment in Turkey falls to 12.2% in Jan compared to Dec

According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), the unemployment rate in Turkey decreased by 0.4 percentage points year on year to 12.2 percent in January this year and fell by 0.7 percentage points when compared to December.

Meanwhile, in January this year the employment rate in Turkey was recorded at 43.8 percent, increasing by 1.2 percentage points compared to the same month of the previous year.
