Unemployment in Turkey drops to 10% in March

According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), the unemployment rate in Turkey fell by 1.2 percentage points year on year to 10.0 percent in March this year and remained unchanged when compared to the previous month. Adıyaman, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş and Osmaniye were not included in the survey due to the earthquakes on February 6 which devastated the region.

Meanwhile, in the given month, the employment rate in Turkey was recorded at 48.2 percent, increasing by 1.5 percentage points compared to the same month of 2022.
