UK’s wholesale prices up 0.4% in February

The UK's wholesale prices rose 0.4% month-on-month and 2.8% year-on-year in February 2005 due to increased crude oil prices, said the UK's National Statistics Office. The monthly increase in wholesale prices reflected rises in alcohol and petroleum products. The cost of raw materials, meanwhile, rose 0.5% month-on-month and 10.7% year-on-year. Price increases in crude oil and domestically-produced food contributed to the rise in raw material prices.
