Ukraine’s long steel imports up in 2011

In 2011, Ukraine registered a 14 percent increase year on year in its long steel product imports to 430,900 mt. In December alone, Ukraine's long steel product imports decreased by 16.7 percent month on month to 33,900 mt.

Also in 2011, Ukrainian exports of long steel products decreased by 0.1 percent compared to 2010, declining to 5.768 million mt. In December alone, Ukraine's long steel product exports decreased by 2.5 percent month on month to 489,000 mt.
