During the first half of this year, UGMK noted the increase of the share of ‘other rolled steel products' in Ukraine's total volume of rolled steel product consumption to 36.9 percent from 25.5 percent in the same period last year, mainly due to the rise of 5.5 percentage points in the share of round billet, the increase of 1.3 percentage points in the share of square billet, and the rise of 1.2 percentage points in the share of round bar. At the same time, during the period in question, UGMK noted a significant decrease of seven percentage points in the share of hot rolled steel and a drop of 1.9 percentage points in the share of rebar.
