Ukraine's pig iron output fell 4.4 percent

According to data released by Rudprom, Ukraine's pig iron output fell 4.4 percent year on year to 4.92 million tons in January-February 2006 period. Thus, during the given period, Azovstal reduced pig iron output 8.7 percent, Ilyich 3.1 percent, Krivorozhstal 3.4 percent, Dzerzjinsk 0.8 percent, Zaporozhstal 9 percent. During January-February 2006 period, Alchevsk Iron Work increased pig iron production 2.1 percent, Enakievsk MK 9.2 percent.
