The Ukrainian seamless stainless steel tube producer Centravis Production Ukraine (Centravis), located in Nikopol city, has announced the successful testing of its new cold rolling tube mill KPW-25, supplied by leading German producer SMS MEER. The total investments in the mill amounted to $5.1 million.

Accordingly, the new KPW-25 mill will allow Centravis to increase its production capacities and to improve the quality of cold drawn tubes of 8-30 mm outside diameter. The average capacity of the KPW-25 mill is 280 meters per hour, which is three times faster than the current capacity of the tube-drawing mills at the plant.

In August 2009 Centravis plans to commission its second analogue KPW-25 mill and to launch a new tube-pressing line.

Centravis has a production capacity of 18,000 mt of seamless stainless steel tubes and delivers its products to more than 70 countries worldwide.
