Ukraine issues production results for first 11 months

According to the preliminary data, in the January-November period of the current year Ukraine registered a 5.3 percent increase year on year in its finished steel product output to 27.952 million mt, a seven percent increase in its crude steel output to 31.928 million mt and a 6.2 percent rise in its pig iron production to 26.504 million mt.

The country's production of metallurgical coke went up by 6.3 percent year on year to 17.953 million mt during the first 11 months of 2011.
In January-November this year, Ukraine produced 60.050 million mt of iron ore concentrate and 12.596 million mt of sintering ore - up 2.7 and 2.9 percent respectively compared to the same period last year.

In November alone, Ukraine produced 2.542 million mt of finished steel products - down two percent, 2.876 million mt of crude steel - down five percent, 2.421 million mt of pig iron - down six percent, and 1.602 million mt of metallurgical coke - down five percent, all compared to October this year.
