UK basic metal output index up 4.1 percent in Oct

According to a report released by the UK's Office for National Statistics (ONS), in October this year the UK's seasonally adjusted production index of manufacturing fell by 2.1 percent compared with October 2011 and was down by 1.3 percent compared to the previous month, following a stable output level on month-on-month basis in September this year.

Meanwhile, in the UK the seasonally adjusted production index of basic metal and metal products rose by 4.1 percent in October this year compared to October 2011 and was down 0.3 percent compared to the previous month, following a revised month-on-month rise of 0.1 percent in September.
